Q: What is a Quick Change add-on?
You can add a “Quick Change” to a full headshot session and receive an additional image taken with a different top on the same background.
This is the best way to get a touch of variety added to one of your looks, or the best way to try a couple of outfits if you aren’t sure which your agency will prefer.
The background and lighting are going to stay the same as the last look in your session.
This is a good option for actors who would like to:
Try a couple of tops to represent one look
Or just want a touch more variety within their current look
For instance, if you aren’t sure if pink or blue is best for your commercial look, this would be a good option so we can shoot both in your commercial set-up!
Or as another example, if you need a bit of variation with your theatrical look to represent two slightly different personalities within the same genre, this would work well for you.
This add-on will NOT work if you want to try and get two different looks from the shirt change. Background, lighting, and environment all play a big role in creating a look that is effective and that will please your agency.
As an example, you can’t shoot a dramatic look in black leather (where we may choose a deeper colored background and have more dramatic lighting), and then quick change to pastel yellow - the lighting and background will only work for one of those outfits.
Quick Change Includes:
A 10-minute extension on your headshot session
1 additional top, which will be photographed on the same background and lighting of the last look in your current session.
1 final additional headshot (with 15 to choose from)
Please read the fine print before adding this to your order:
This Quick Change option is not applicable by itself. It must be added on to a full session, preferably at the time of your order.
Does not apply to sessions that have a discount code.
No hair or makeup changes will be allowed - only a shirt change
Will be similar to one of your current looks, and is NOT considered another look entirely.
How do you know if you need multiple looks for your acting headshot session?
Most actors need at least two looks if they plan to audition for Film/TV roles.
Headshots for film and TV (normally known as “theatrical” headshots) are more type-specific than commercials or roles for the stage. Your agency will need your types represented well so they can market you for specific roles in the industry.
For instance, an actor may normally audition for a couple of different types of roles, like street-smart and young dad. These are very different types of roles, and your headshots need to reflect those types.
We won’t be too on-the-nose, so that each type has some flexibility (young dad could also play as young professional or geek), but the overall expression, outfit, and scenario are going to be so different for those two main types that one headshot wouldn’t work well for the other role.
Another reason you will need more than one look is if you also plan to audition for commercials.
Most agencies and managers in Florida require you to have a strong commercial headshot.
Orlando is the third largest commercial market in the world! That means that the majority of our local acting gigs are commercials.
Commercials are super fun, easy, and a great way to earn money as an actor in Florida. If you are represented in Florida, you will need a commercial headshot to get consistent work as an actor.
Commercial headshots are very different than film/TV headshots. The lighting is more natural, the background clean and light, the outfit neutral and friendly, and even your expression will be specific to commercials.
Commercial Casting Directors are looking for a specific type of headshot for commercials that showcase your authentic, true smiles, your approachable confidence, and like you have nothing to hide.
There are three scenarios where a one-look headshot session will likely be enough for you.
You only plan to audition for commercials
You are a theater or entertainment actor, and only audition for roles on the stage
You are simply needing a quick update for your manager or agency
