An up-to-date, excellent professional headshot is one of the most important things for a contestant to have to be noticed by judges - and - it can even help you to win the crown.
Your pageant headshot tells that judges that you are serious about this, and will represent your local area professionally, and beautifully. We want the judged to be intrigued by you and anticipating when they get to actually meet you. When you start with an exceptional photo (along with a great bio about you), you are on your way to “Top 10” status in Florida, and then bigger competitions.

Not only do I specialize in photographing actors, it is also my JOY to provide headshots for pageant contestants. The girls and women I meet are so inspiring to me, that I literally want to shine brighter myself. And, I think, that’s what pageantry is all about - inspiring others!

Professional Hair and Makeup
The start to every successful beauty pageant headshot is professional hair and makeup.
Pageant headshot sessions at our studio are a bit more expensive than acting headshots because the professional HMUA is a non-negotiable. Our job is to provide you with a beautiful portrait that will not only work, but shine for the judges.
HOWEVER —> We’ve got a special partnership with an incredible artist to bring you LOWER rates than a standard artist (woo hoo!)
You will be working with Lochness Beauty, who specializes in glamour and will give you a makeover to highlight your best features, make your hair look like a million bucks, and makeup that is glamorous, but believable!
We aren’t really about creating an AI version of yourself. We want to highlight who you are through excellent makeup and hair that is ALLLLL YOU!
Beautiful Pageant Lighting
Every beauty pageant headshot session includes specialized lighting that is designed to communicate three things:
Eyes that sparkle like diamonds and draw judges in instantly
Skin that is flawless, with true skin tone and glow
Confidence, poise, and beauty (yes, lighting can do that)
Whether we are shooting on bright white, soft gray, tan, baby blue, or pink, your lighting will be ON-POINT for pageant shots. This lighting is specific to beauty pageant contestants, utilizing a giant scrim, a beauty dish, a reflector that will make your eyes sparkle, and other reflectors to help bounce light to specifically fill in harsh or unwarranted shadows.

In every session, even when you are only shooting one outfit, we will capture a beautiful variety of poses and expressions.
We prioritize a genuine, comfortable smiling shot that is engaging and warm.
We will also capture semi-serious expressions - still warm and engaging, but what I like to call Present-Minded and focused.
Then we will shoot some serious shots - not too sexy, though :) We want your images to be naturally engaging with simple poses and true expressions.
And lastly, we love to capture some candid moments. Whether gazing away or full-on laughter, these headshots are often the favorites for contestants to have! For websites and social media, it’s always fun to have images that show a behind-the-scenes look into who you are!
What is included in the pageant headshot session?

Your pageant headshots ALWAYS include professional hair and makeup - this is non-negotiable :)
It’s our job to create headshots that will make you stand out to judges and immediately draw them in. Professional hair and makeup is part of that success story! So, you just get to come with clean, dry hair, and a fresh face and let us take it from there!
We will shoot on a background of your choice and recommend bright white, warm gray, khaki, or PINK!
Then the fun really begins when you get your gallery link and start picking favorites!
Your session comes with 2 headshots per look (but if you’d like more after seeing them, it’s an affordable $25 rate for extra pageant photos beyond what is included.
What to wear for your Orlando Pageant Headshots Session
Choosing outfits is one of the most exciting parts of pageant headshots!
And finding the right clothing is incredibly important to your image.
We have a few rules for what to wear for your pageant headshots:
DO:
Pick a dress or shirt that is modest where it counts, but also shows off your collar bones and shoulders. And off-the-shoulder blouse or asymmetrical fitted shirt are wonderful choices, as these necklines can lengthen your neck and highlight your beautiful shoulders.
Choose high-end fabrics.
Choose bold color, white, and/or sparkle. Hot pink, bold blue, baby blue, royal purple, black (over 18 only), and white are all good choices for pageant portraits.
Bring fitted tops. We want to showcase your figure!
DON’T:
Wear clothing that wrinkles easily
Pick cheap fabrics like cotton or linen
Bring busy or patterned outfits. Keep it simple and clean, and one color only.
Bring boxy clothing. All clothing should be fitted to your body nicely.

After your session, you will receive your gallery link in only 24 hours! Then, once you’ve chosen your favorites for editing, you will receive your final pageant photos in just 24-28 hours via email.

We typically book 2 weeks out for pageant headshot sessions, but can often have a spot or two the very next week.
Once you place your order online, I will get in touch with our stylist and send you a list of options.
If you need a Saturday, they tend to book about 4 weeks out.

My studio is in my home in the Dr. Phillips / Windermere area. I serve pageant contestants as far as Miami and Gainsville! But the majority of my girls and women live in Central Florida.
Having a photography studio space for Orlando Florida pageant headshots is the perfect scenario, since Orlando is so central and quite “hoppin’” for pageants!

So that we can focus fully on your portraits, we ask that you come alone, or with a parent if under 18.
Parents: please arrange for childcare if you have more than one child.

Due to no-shows and long holds on dates, I found that it’s easiest to book a session and then work together to get a date in the calendar.
If you have a tight deadline, get in touch to see what the calendar looks like for us, however, we do not hold dates until the order is fully booked in, and dates are subject to change.
