How much do headshots cost in Orlando?
Most professional headshot sessions cost between $250–$1,500 total. A typical headshot session will be priced based on duration and number of looks. Adding another hour or another look will usually increase the price by a fixed rate. Some photographers also include photo editing and light retouching in their baseline price. Be sure to ask for an estimate before signing on. You’ll usually pay a deposit in advance, and the remainder on the day of your photo session.
At our Orlando Acting Headshot Photography Studio, we price our headshots on the low end, but provide a high-end result.
Why? Why would a business do that?
Well.. because honestly I have a daughter who is an actor.
She began acting at the age of 10 (18 now!), and back then (while, I was a professional photographer), I didn’t quite know the specifics of actor headshots, so I really valued photographers who knew the industry well, but were still affordable. After all, at that time, we were just getting started.. I wasn’t sure how much we could afford, and wasn’t sure how well she would do (spoiler alert.. she is doing very well now, and is signed with Level Talent in Florida, and I have taken the last 8 years learning how to specialize in actor headshot photography because of her success :)
You need an excellent headshot that will get you noticed, and you also need headshots updates regularly as an actor. My job is to help you succeed as an actor by helping you get your foot in the door.
Whether you are going for film, commercial, or TV, your headshots should speak clearly to your abilities, and still provide you a return on your investment.
You don’t have to break the bank to get a great headshot. But you don’t want to cut corners either. Your headshot is a direct reflection of your professionalism, so it’s an investment in your career.
In Orlando, you should spend between $250 - $500 per headshot session.
Yep, I just said it.
Sometimes, photographers want to charge you $750+.. and you know, maybe it’s worth it to you, to get their style of photography, but actors need headshots all the time, so really expensive headshots don’t make sense if you can get some from another acting headshot photographer that work well.
The goal is to get opportunities.
If your headshots look professional, yet natural (like you), you are likely to be provided with many more opportunities to audition and get in front of casting directors.
If your headshots look amateur, you may not get asked to audition.
Consult your coach and agency to see which photographers they prefer. Save up if needed, and get headshots that will HELP you on your journey to becoming a successful actor.
